After losing his memories and washing ashore in a casket, android Danny Herrera travels the seas in search of his last remaining memories and family members. His search is cut short when he receives a distress call from an unknown source, which he believes to be the few surviving humans on the planet. Danny gathers a motley crew of other androids, which he calls Nexo Solar, and embarks on a dangerous rescue mission to save the human race from total extinction.
