The Ya-Ki-Dah

In the ancient land of Cymrja, nestled among the misty hills of Cardigan, there was born a martial art so powerful, so intertwined with the very essence of the land itself, that it was said only the chosen ones, those with the blood of dragons, could truly master it. This art, known as The Ya-Ki-Dah, was created to protect the Dragon of Cymrja, the sovereign who rules the land

The essence of The Ya-Ki-Dah lies in the practitioner's ability to channel the primal energies of the earth, drawing them up from the roots of the ancient hills and forests, through the very core of their being, and into their limbs. In this way, the warrior becomes one with the land, their power drawn not from muscle or fury, but from the life-force of the earth itself an energy as old as the mountains, as deep as the roots of the great trees. This energy, which flows from the land to the heart, is the very breath of Danu, the Earth Mother, and through her, the warrior becomes a conduit for the forces of nature.

The most common way of this being channelled is through the famous Dragon Punch, perfected by Kayle McArthur. To perform this attack, the practitioner must first ground themselves standing firm with feet rooted like ancient oak trees, feeling the pulse of the earth beneath them. The energy of Danu flows into their heart like a rushing river, infusing their being with the fury of the land and the spirit of the dragon. Then, with a great roar of spirit, the warrior leaps into the air as though propelled on wings. With a violent, dragon-like ascent, they strike downward with a single, devastating punch, a blow so powerful it is said to crack the very sky along with the victims jaw.

There was also the Dragons Roar - The practitioner gathers their energy, takes a deep breath, and raises both hands to their chest in a prayer-like position. The energy gathers at the core of their being, as if harnessing the power of a flame rising from the earth’s heart channelling both Danu and Lugh into them. They then thrust their hands forward in a rapid motion, sending forth an fiery bolt as if from dragons of legend. This bolt of energy is not simply fire, but the very embodiment of the land’s spirit a blazing, a celestial stream that travels like a comet across the battlefield.
