Lesser Holidays
Not all holidays are held in the highest regards. Some may not even warrant feasting, which is the base upon which all celebrations in Yvard are built. But these days are important to enough people that the names and basic understanding of observances are known to almost anyone.
Sigrdag (Ostar 27th) - A day of remembrance for the great King Sigram, the only person to have ruled both Gehrland and Barid Hold as one domain.
Unndag (Hay-moon 9th) - The day dedicated to remembering Queen Unn the Fair, a woman beloved by all who married King Sigram the Great.
Vitranot (Hunting 14th) - In northern regions, this marks the first day of winter. It's said that clear weather on Vitranot is a bad omen, and many people pray for snow or storms for the week leading up to the day. The holiday is usually celebrated between family members in their own home, and small gifts are exchanged.
